Zynstace was founded to solve a problem we saw firsthand: powerful open-source modeling frameworks exist, but almost no one outside the labs that built them knows how to deploy them for real industrial problems. We do.

DOE and NAWI have invested millions into developing world-class open-source frameworks for process modeling — PrOMMiS for critical minerals, WaterTAP for water treatment, IDAES for chemical processes. These tools are powerful, rigorous, and free.
But building a framework and deploying it in a real industrial process requires a completely different set of expertise. National labs aren't set up for commercial consulting. Academic researchers are deep in the science, but rarely have experience with industrial deployment. And most traditional consultants have never heard of these frameworks.
